Launched in early March, the Yes was delayed two months to accommodate COVID-19’s industry-wide consequences. Tomasi Hill had to establish a visual harmony between the Yes identity and the various label styles. Instead of having models “shot on white with everyone appearing like miniature soldiers,” the objective was to create a whimsical, collaged effect. Her idea didn’t dilute the businesses’ point of view, she argues. We’re not reshooting. Their concept is frequently lost since every merchant has re-shot the aesthetic or particular pieces.” It also works for the consumer. “Shopping isn’t about proximity anymore,” argues Tomasi Hill. We are a high-low blend, personable, and not too serious.”
